Questions, answered plainly.
Which parts of Bengaluru does Kabadify serve?
Kabadify runs in one contiguous cluster: Koramangala (560034, 560095, 560047), HSR Layout (560102), Indiranagar (560038) and Domlur (560071). It's a deliberately small, dense zone — one vehicle can work it in a day. Outside it, you can join the waitlist and get a text the day we start running your pincode.
How much does a pickup cost?
The pickup fee depends on the vehicle your order needs: free on a motorcycle (₹150 minimum order), ₹49 on a goods auto (₹300 minimum), or ₹149 on a Tata Ace (₹500 minimum). Weight, volume and item size decide which vehicle comes — shown before you book, not after.
How am I paid?
Straight to your UPI account, on your doorstep, before the agent leaves. Nothing is settled in cash and nothing is left to be paid later — the amount you watch calculated on the scale is the amount you receive, on the spot.
Is the price fixed before I book?
You get a real price range from the published rates, locked for 48 hours. It's a range because your item's exact weight isn't known until it's on the scale — it closes to one number, within about 15%, the moment the agent weighs it at your door.
What doesn't Kabadify accept?
Wood, mattresses, thermocol and ceramic aren't accepted — they don't recycle economically enough to route through the network. Everything else — paper, plastic, metal, e-waste and appliances — is picked up, weighed on the spot, and paid for at the door.
Do you take e-waste and old batteries?
Yes. Laptops, TVs and other e-waste are collected at a published per-piece rate. Mixed e-waste and inverter batteries are flagged as hazardous and routed to meet Karnataka's e-waste rules, but they're still picked up — there's no separate disposal step for you to arrange.
When can I book a pickup?
Five daily slots covering every window from 8–10 AM to 6–8 PM. Bookings close 90 minutes before a slot starts, and you can book up to 3 days ahead — enough time to see your rate lock and pick a slot without rushing.
How is the weight verified?
On a certified scale, at your door, while you watch. There's no back-room weighing and no number you're told after the fact — the range you saw before booking closes to the exact figure the moment your scrap is actually on the scale.
Where does the scrap actually go?
Everything collected is taken apart, sorted by material and sent to a licensed recycler — never to landfill. Metal is melted down into rebar and sheet, paper is pulped into new paper, plastic is shredded into new pellets, and e-waste is dismantled for its metals.
Do I need to install an app?
No. Booking a pickup runs in your browser — there's no app-store install required. If you'd rather check the full rate list first, that's also a plain web page you can read before you book anything.
