How we handle your details.

What Kabadify keeps about you, why, and how to change or delete it. Last updated 31 October 2026.

What this covers

kabadify.com, the Kabadify app at app.kabadify.com, and the messages you send to our WhatsApp number. Kabadify is a doorstep scrap pickup service in Bengaluru.

What we keep about you

What you give us, and what happens at your pickup:

  • Your name and phone number, as you give them when you book a pickup.
  • Your email address, if you sign in with Google. Google tells us your email address; we never see your Google password.
  • The address of each pickup, a landmark if you add one, and the spot on the map if you drop a pin.
  • What you are selling and what happened at the door: the items, the weights, the amount, and any rating or feedback you give.
  • Photos: the one you add of your scrap when you book, and the one our agent takes of the load at pickup.
  • Your UPI ID, so we can pay you.
  • What you send us on WhatsApp: your number, the name on your WhatsApp profile, and the words of your message. A photo or a voice note is noted as one but not kept.
  • A notification address for your phone or browser, if you allow notifications.
  • How the site is used: visits are counted by an analytics service from our hosting provider, and if something breaks, an error report may be sent to our error-tracking service.
  • On your own device: your browser keeps your sign-in, a booking you have not finished, and a copy of your saved addresses and orders, so the app is quick. You can clear these in your browser settings.

Why we use it

To collect your scrap and pay you. To send messages about a booking you made, such as a reminder. To sort out a problem with a pickup or a payment. To keep the service safe and working. If you have used Kabadify before, we may message you about a festival clear-out, and each festival WhatsApp message says how to stop. Those are the only uses.

Who can see it

The agent assigned to your pickup sees the name, phone number and address for it, and what you listed. Our operations team sees orders and messages so they can run pickups, answer questions and sort out problems.

Companies that run Kabadify for us also handle it: our hosting and database providers, photo storage, email, error tracking, page-view analytics, Google (for sign-in) and Meta (for WhatsApp). Some of them keep data on servers outside India. We share it with no one else unless the law requires it.

How long we keep it

  • Photos of a pickup: 180 days after the pickup closes (paid, cancelled or missed), then they are deleted. A pickup with a dispute still open keeps its photos until it is settled.
  • A photo you started to add but never booked with: a few days.
  • Records of pickups and payments: as long as we need them to deal with disputes, keep our accounts and meet legal duties.
  • What you send us on WhatsApp, and your account details: until you delete your account.

Your choices

  • Stop festival messages: reply STOP to any of them on WhatsApp, or ask us.
  • Notifications: switch them off in your browser or phone settings.
  • See or correct your details, or ask a question about them: email contact@kabadify.com.
  • Delete your account: in the app, open Account and choose Delete my account. You are asked to confirm, and it can’t be done while a pickup is in progress.

Deleting your account removes your name, phone number, email address and UPI ID from your account, your own photos of your scrap, your WhatsApp messages to us and your notification settings, and signs you out everywhere. It does not remove the records of your past pickups and payments: they keep the name, phone number and address you gave for each pickup, for the reasons above. The photos our agents took of the loads they collected are kept as our record too. We also keep a note that the account was deleted.
